Autos: Mercury for 1961 will have two new lower priced series, the Meteor 600 and Meteor 800. Above is the Meteor 600 four door sedan. Mercury also will offers its first six cylinder engine, at 135 horsepower. Three V-8's also are available from 175 to 300 horsepower. The new cars are shorter, narrower, lower and lighter than last year.
