1942 Press Photo New York Suicide caused Explosion at 15 Story Manhattan Apart.
When Mrs.Marguerite Burke 36 rang the doorbell of her employer Mrs. Davis Cameron Oswald 41 she caused a spark which made the gas filled apartment explode wrecking three floors of 15 Story Manhattan Apartment House. Both the Women died and nine other were injured in the explosion which was heard throughout Manhattan Mrs. Oswald's death was pronounced a suicide by Police.
