"Land ship" awaits return of its skipper from the prayer room of Air-Line hostelry - The cherished dream of the late William O. Kraus, who operated a tourist court with his wife on the Air-Line hwy., was to erect a chapel for transcontinental truckers. Kraus, a marine superintendent by profession, had come to know many of these truckers over a period of years and had become intensely aware of their transcendent loneliness, their heightened perception of the impermanence of life and of the specter of danger that constantly rides at their elbows.
