Vic Jenkins, co-owner, Broadmoor Carnival Novelties, wasn't impressed with his first Mardi Gras, but now... - The shops appear to be small-time operations, purveyors of what looks like junk. The fact is, they are big business, generally unaffected by bad news on the business pages. One of the new stores, two-year-old Accent Annex at 520 N. Carrollton Ave., looks like a supermarket.
