The local union of the Six Railroad Switchmen of North America today chose Sidney Nunez as their candidate for Congress in opposition to the incumbent F. Edward Hebert, according to S.W. Rogers, right, seen with Nunez, Rogers urged other unions to follow suit. The local Switchmen's Union of North America (AFL) at a meeting last night endorsed the candidacy of A. Sidney Nunez for Congress from the first Congressional district, and attacked Congressman F. Edward Hebert, incumbent, on his labor legislation record. S.W. Rogers, president of the union, declared that Hebert voted for the Smith anti-labor bill "and boasted about this record weeks after in a press article published in the papers."
