Netherlands - Standing on four legs in the North Sea. Two and a half miles off the coast of the Netherlands. This mobile oil drilling platform is being used by a Dutch Oil Company to drill a 6,500 foot exploration well. Called the Triton, teh platform is 125 feet long. 65 feet wide and weighs 2,400 tons. Its four legs, each 170 feet long can raise the platform 40 feet above sea level. The drilling site is between Scheveningen and the hook of Holland.
