Aluminum Plant and Rabbit Tracks Plant. Unusual markings or colors on the leaves of foliage plants often give rise to popular plant names that are very descriptive. Two such plants which are prized by many New Orleans home gardeners are the "aluminum plant" and "rabbit tracks." The "aluminum plant" has silvery bands on its oval green leaves; the "rabbit tracks" plant bears track-like deep green markings on its lighter-hued, squarish leaves.
