Ground-breaking ceremonies marking the beginning of construction of the Terrytown area library were held Monday at the site near the intersection of Heritage Avenue and Concord Road. Participating in the event are (from left) Maurice D. Walsh, library administrator; Emile A. Davison, Jefferson Parish Recreation Department director; Parish President Thomas Donelon; and Patrick M. Allison, the architect. --- Library Site's Ground Broken -- Groundbreaking ceremonies were held Monday for an new Terrytown area library which will supply books, periodicals, 16-mm motion pictures, framed art prints, microfilm and government documents to patrons. The building, designed by Patrick M. Allison and Associates, will cost - exclusive of furnishings and equipment -$135,135 on land costing $20,000.
