Reading a greeting card on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday are Joseph E. Discon Sr., 70, and his wife, the former Miss Barbara Russell, 68, during a celebration at their residence, 6335 Dauphine. The couple, both natives of New Orleans, have seven children and eight grandchildren. Mr. Discon retired in 1949 after many years with the Fireman Insurance Patrol in New Orleans.
