Grand Jury Clears Detective In Killing -- The Orleans Parish Grand Jury last night returned a no true bill in favor of Edwin Schoenberger, New Orleans detective, who shot and killed 20-year-old hillbilly Musician Carmen Knight on September 14. The jury had grilled 20 witnesses for seven and half hours. Knight was slain at Canal and Rampart after he was said to have attacked Schoenberger and another detective who sought to question him.
