A leading House Republican today accused the Johnson administration of "deception" on Vietnam and predicted the administration would announce major escalation on the ground war after the November 8 election. Congressman Melvin Laird of Wisconsin, chairman of the House Republican Conference, right, has a word with House Minority Leader Gerald Ford, of Michigan, during a press conference. Laird accused the Johnson administration of deception on Vietnam.
