Attorney General Edward J.McCormack, Jr., (right) nephew of House Speaker John W. Kennedy, youngest brother of the President won the opening speech by the toss of a coin. Kennedy's opening statement coupled the problems of Massachusetts with those of U.S. foreign policy, saying the decisions of the senate will have a direct bearing on the state's growth.
