Ernest Marples, above, is new transport minister in Great Britain. He is due in New York tomorrow for two-week visit to study traffic problems in the U.S. He hopes to pick up new ideas in effort to help remedy traffic situation in England. Marples was postmaster general before taking transport post in Prime Minister Macmillan's cabinet last October. This is a 1954 photo
