Atlanta Mayor Sam Massell predicted today that more people in New Orleans will stop using public transit if fares are increased one penny. "You can operate the finest system in the world. No matter how fast it is, how comfortable or how convenient. If the fare is too high you simply cannot attract riders," said Massell in an interview before addressing the convention of the Louisiana Municipal Association here.
