Tommy Lee Jones stars as Gary Gilmore, the Utah convict sentenced to be executed by a firing squad, in "The Executioner's Song," a four-hour miniseries adapted by Norman Mailer from his Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. The drama will be colorcast on NBC Sunday Night the Movies July 8, and NBC Monday Night at the Movies July 9 (9-11 p.m. NYT both nights).
